I ordered a remote for my camera off of Amazon, only cost $5, and it arrived today! (as I'm writing this on Sunday, technically it was yesterday!) This is the very first photo I took using it, I wasn't sure if the timer would click on or if the remote would just take the picture. Ironically I really liked how this turned out. It encapsulated my excitement for something I have wanted for awhile-you can see me holding the directions and the remote, and it's super easy to use!!

Day 12, 13
The photo below was taken on Thursday, encapsulated my day of work-just add in some audio of me making fun of the bowlers and telling them off!

Day 11
I tried out my new tripod today-my old one sadly broke last week and I only had to spend $20 for a very nice Vivitar. I hadn't realized how old and out of date the one I had was! The picture I took today was not what I had initially planned on taking, but the idea came to me and I tried it out.
Today is also the first day I shot with RAW format-well technically the second but I didn't know what I was doing the first time. I also now have Lightroom-after doing some research I discovered that it would be the best for what I plan to do this upcoming year with my photos. (Become more of a professional lifestyle photographer). I can't believe it took so long for me to convert over, and there is still a lot I have to figure out but I'm really excited with what I can do now! Stay tuned for some amazing stuff this year!

Day 10!! Double digits into the new year!
This week's challenge through Evoking You is the color Yellow-so I decided to incorporate two photos into one again! I made the necklace last night, and using photoshop ran a black/white filter on the background and left the necklace in color.
I plan on playing with the HDR feature in CS5, stay tuned for fun pictures of that in the upcoming week!

Day 9
I took this one at work today, using my phone. I still think it turned out pretty decently-I used the Photoshop app to put a border and the soft blur on it as well. I still have to take a photo of something Yellow for the Evoking You weekly challenge, so I think that will be incorporated in my photo for tomorrow!

Day 8
Well it's the second Sunday of 2012 and the first week has been exactly like every other week of the past 2 years! A cold front has moved in and it once again feels like winter in Colorado. My pup and I met up with a friend and his new puppy out at a hiking spot down south and they had a blast. The other pup, seen below, is a Pyrenees mix, only 9 weeks old and already a massive ball of fluff that can easily knock you over if you aren't careful!
After we left there Pandora and I stopped by Bear Creek park and happened to run into her sister!
After we got home, Pandora laid on the couch and hasn't moved much since! My photo for day 8 is a picture of her and I on the couch after our morning of playing and bonding!
